or driving.
hours up to Sepang. Feeling extremely grouchy, in the morning of cos. i've got pikchers to prove for them. You can't help that feeling, cos you had barely 2-3 hours of sleep and then driving with extreme care & caution on the road. Being the only chick that's driving, of course, the guys were sniggering
. A friend told me my outfit is so not FIA approved. You know what? I don't care. The track's too hot for me to wanna put on teeshirt and stuff. Keyword : skimpy. The outfit worked out well, since i saw the guys sweating buckets. Nonetheless, I had so much fun, but it seems i might have to skip the next trackday. Argh... drive me nuts. I need my rush...
The weekend has passed. After a week of being sedated over a cocktail of drugs for my cold, my throat infection & of cos being put on antibiotics, i decided to head out, after a wedding dinner with my family.
I met Jean past midnight on friday. And had a couple of drinks (ang moh liang teh*) to celebrate that end of my medication. Went to MOS, ended up feeling quite sleazed up frankly. Sheesh... But nonetheless, it was with Jeannie, my best mate. So cheers to that.
I walked out from the entire Saturday packing my room, and not heading out... But i doubt that would help to cure my illness. Today's like tuesday, and i got started on my second batch of drugs.
Craps... i ish still velly velly sick.
DIE & ROSS ...
r attended that is outdoor and had a live band churning out songs like Vertigo, Video Killed the Radio Star...And that is just extremely fun & awesome.
know. But it sure has been fun. Ross has always been there for him, and watches him while he gets everyone to drink. Perhaps this is what love is. Acccomodating each other. But i am so happy for them. They look really lovely together.
I just got back from Shanghai, China and it's been great. I had fun. Above would be the picture of Pudong 鋪東, with the infamous Oriental Pearl Tower 東方明珠, sitting along the Huangpu River. The Oriental Pearl Tower is like a significant symbol of Shanghai, like The Statue of Liberty is to New York City in US. It's huge and just looks very pretty from The Bund. The Oriental Pearl Tower is at the opposite side of The Bund 灘外. The Bund sits on Puxi, which meant the west side of the bank of the Huangpu River.
The office which i was sent to, for my trip, is located at Puxi, along with many other major office buildings and shopping districts. It overlooks a scene from Mission Impossible : 3. Well, if you need to know which scene, please email me. Puxi is home to many major tourist spots like Xintiandi, Cheng Huang Temple and not forgetting, the infamous Xiang Yang Market.
Xintiandi is alike to Singapore's Clarke Quay, with its bustling nightlife and lil' pubs, as well as the usual Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Starbucks. The price of a cup of latte isn't cheap, it comes at 15-30 rmb, but that's a lot considering the average wage in the country. The weather in Shanghai is very nice, averaging at 14 degrees celsius to about 22 degrees celsius, when i visited. But a lil' rainy. So sitting out in Xintiandi, sipping my Bailey's made me feel really good, with the combi of cold weather, and a nice warm drink.
Cheng Huang Temple is one of the oldest structures around, and combines a blend of modern and historic culture of Shanghai. Shanghai has always been known to be kinda historic yet modern in its structures to its way of life. Cheng Huang Temple is interlinked with yuyuan garden, which offers a fare of Shanghaiese food as well as lil' oriental trinkets & momentos for the tourists. In the area of Cheng Huang Temple is historic structures, but within yuyuan gardens, you find Starbucks & Dairy Queen. It's like whoa!
Xiang Yang market needs no introduction. The only sad part is it's about to close come June 06. It is afterall a market filled with many interesting buys. I shan't bother to elaborate. Cos i'm sure everyone knows.
Overall, i am starting to like China, whether it's Beijing or Shanghai. It's mysterious, and alluring. There's nothing not to love about Shanghai especially. The food, the accessibility, the stuff. It's now seemingly easy to assimilate into its culture and soak it all up. I can't wait to go visit again. And of course, i miss my 哥哥 Dennis...
I love it so much. The surrounding temperature is cooling. You can get away with wearing a light sweater. But Beijing being Beijing, the weather is very erratic, one minute you can run around in a tee, the next you need a coat.
very close to SOHO. It is proof that Beijing is really evolving.Happy birthday April...
It's a wee bit past due blog. Sorry.
But we did have oodles of fun, right? girls?
Never bring a bunch of girls together...
Cos we bitch , we slap each others' asses, and freaks the shit out of boys.
Hmmm... sounds kinky. I think so too.
Heh heh... till the next birthday comes along...
Back from Pulau Sibu (also known as Sibu Island) , off Johor, Malaysia. I'm sunburnt but
happy. I managed to spend some time with my gfs, and of cos, to celebrate April's birthday. I remembered contributing a blog entry for April just last year. And now it's yet another year. Dammit.
Anywayz, back to our trip. It was a 3 day trip for the Good Friday long weekend. I staggered to go to the trip, having returned home a bit smashed on Thursday. But upon reaching the place, i felt absolutely great. The water was clear, cool and extremely inviting. The sand was really fine. It was a place where you can just stroll around in your bikini all day. And it's
a tiny island which you can just walk around & cover within two hours.
We went to trek around the island. It was a 60 minute trek session. But it nearly killed me. It'll top the list of my worst adventures followed closely with the HSBC Tree Top Walk at MacRitchie Reservoir, Singapore. I saw baby sharks with black dorsal fins, swimming in groups of 2 or 3. Saw a huge ass millipede. I managed to snorkel for the 1st time! Yeah baby! Oh and i scare the daylights out of my friends, when i hum the anthem to Jaws, while snorkelling and looking at the beautiful fishes & corals. Hahaha, it was funny though, i just wanted to see whether by the tunes of Jaws would freak the fishes out. My friends who were out snorkelling with me were laughing and shouting my name
when they realized i'm playing a fool in the middle of the sea. Yes, i'm silly.
I can't wait for our next trip to some beach resort. Oohhh yeah...
I love it this time round... and it's quite an escape and different from our daily ruckus. And i truly enjoy myself ...

This is my 啊哥 Sanford, back from the days of Purdue. Someone whom i cherish & love, despite the days he treat me like shit. He was kind enough to host me through my trip in Chicago, about two months ago. He's someone who i know would fly gadzillion miles just to make sure i'm alright, or if i'm ever in trouble. I miss my other 啊哥 Dennis, who's based out in Shanghai. And it's been years since we 三條友 got together.
I'm now officially worth three hours of Sanford's time. So much for being his best sister. He had to plan a three hour stopover in Singapore... instead of what could have been a day which would include a lunch & dinner at least. Instead we (Gavin, Sanford & me, include my sis in tow) had dinner at Crystal Jade @ Changi Airport, Singapore. Believe me... it isn't funny. From what could have been a Chompz d
inner, turning into airport dinner. Ohhh whatever!
Sanford, cheers to you... and a gentle reminder that i am worth 3 hours' of your time only. hahaha, i will remember you for that.
still very interesting. Cheers to Axl's friend and Uncle Stephen for the pics. I am the only DC5 this time round, with a bunch of BMWs from z4 to 320 etc, WRX, STi, Legacy GT, Mini CooperS, and of cos, a bunch of evos.
matters is i own my car and i'm happy. Pls don't make me sing the Independent Woman track again. I don't need no man to tell me what i can do or can't do. I paid for it, i'm gonna do whatever i like.
4 day work week, for a month... till end April. I guess that's something very worth rejoicing. I got myself a brand new gadget. Yes, i'm a bit dated. I bought a navy Motorola V3. Just a V3, not i or x versions. Why? I need a phone that won't crash on me with my 700ish phone numbers, i ruled out PDA phones because i hate the bulkyness, even the Dopod ones can't satisfy me with their sizes. Until i find a way to live with the fact i need a PDA phone, i shall run from one. I need a phone that i can call and sms. And of course, it has to be chic and slim. So V3 it is for me.
s with corners before, and it traumatises me. I've been through a car ride back in US that the car nearly flipped. I think i might left my guts where that incident took place. Dratz!
to Shanghai.
t's Ashley's 1st month celebrations. To Sam & Gina, congrats. Once again i reiterate, i love kids, just not my own. It's not in my plans for the next 5 years, at least how i see it. I love carrying kids. But i can't handle wailing kids, or babies. I get stuck with babies, and can't talk, move, for fear of disturbing their sleep.
oing to a Helipad is awesome. It's afterall a Helipad. How often do we get to visit a Helipad? Of cos, we must go! Jeannie went, but the zZzMonster managed to catch up to her, and made her sleepy. We did have fun taking pikchers, though not as much fun as i would like the night to be.
rls crazy. I do think they are. So since we haven't met for so long, while i was away in States, the saturday upon being back 4th Of March, they organized a picnic just to sit and talk crap. I went off to meet them along with Angie. Everyone was there. I can't quite recall who wasn't
. Oh Rulin wasn't, but it's fine. She's always busy, and a newly inducted girlie of the group.
ke, i only feel more exhausted and dehydrated.
d to go to Sibu Island out in Malaysia to relax, chill and just enjoy the sun, sand and sea together in mid April. Yay... and to celebrate April's birthday. Seeya gurls then. can't hardly wait...

bout Andrew by Andrew da man himself. My trip to SF is really short. I guess there's nothing much to taalk about. So without further ado, let's move on.

d 3 days and a couple more hours out in the Midwest. I should have been given more time, if they had more seats to fly back to Singapore. Shucks. Oh well. I met Sanford, one of my dearest brothers, that i hold close to my heart. And it's been so nice. I also manage to meet a couple of old school mates out in Chicago. Thanks Shawn & Sanford for showing me around Chicago. So while out freezing my butt in Chicago, crazy me decided to drive back to Purdue. Yes, Purdue. My old alma mater. The place where i once had the time of my life. The place i've been ranting about. The place that i wanted to go back to, for the longest time. All because of the Starbucks inside the Union. I am "suaku", so?
o West Lafayette, Indiana now seems like a short drive, bumping with the rap rhymes of Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Nelly & Juelz Santana. Armed with a bottle of Coca Cola & a Grande cup of Starbucks Chai tea, i jump into that Ford Taurus. Yes, an old-dude's ride, but still comfy, and it comes with cr
uise control. So i love that sh#t to bits.
you get my drift. Truly the anticipation of going back my alma mater is something i can't put words to. I guess, the exhileration of going back to the place i met my best mates, and of course, remembering the good ol' days. To the soothing music of Howie Day's Collide, i pulled into my college town, up from the Levee. Yes Purdue. I'm back! I went around and managed to chat with a few of my professors.
ching; me into my Crash Into Me (live version, no less). Sorry if i am really suaku gushing over the spanking new Borders / Barnes at the Levee, the nice Krannert (or whatever), the change in my LAEB to BEER building, oh that nice spanking creative arts building sitting on what used to be my parking lot. And of cos that Armstrong Aero Building coming right up. Hahaha, i totally enjoyed myself during that one day trip, that despite losing my bed space to Mr. Andrew. Yes, Andrew, the infamous stair roller of ThePurdueDiaries. Heh heh, and i met Zhuang. The reason why ThePurdueDiaries was born. Whatever the case is, tha
t's history. Who gives a flying fish. Ermm, though Andrew still offered me the honors by showing me his infamous rolling down of stairs. All it took is a couple of red & white wine. Ooh, and i totally remember that fart. Dude! Yucks! And showing up the next morning at 9am to play indoor soccer reeking of alcohol. And then crazily driving 2 and a half hours back to Chicago. Dude! I love every minute of it. It was just so off the usual routine.
n Chicago. Yup, we got high on Sangrias. Peach Sangrias are yummy. Went to some offbeat local places i never been before. Sorry, Ke Winn, but apparently Blogger hates the pikcher where you looked decent, and wanted a pikcher of you in a high mode. Waiting with our freezing butts in Chinatown just to have dim sum. 45 frigging minutes. And i thought we only wait this long out in Singapore. Well, The list of madcaps goes on. Thanks guys for bringing me around, and especially for squeezing some time out to hang out together. Cheers!
